STERIODS USE OR ABUSE

Hello everyone today our topic is the use of steriods in bodybuilding. Some people think it a use and others think it as an abuse.But before deciding it as a use or abuse first of all we should know what are steriods? what are they used for?

WHAT ARE STERIODS?

A steriod is an organic compound  that contains four fused +Cycloalkane C.H  rings. Examples for steriods are +Cholestrol , +Testosterone etc. The core of the steriod contains 20 carbons atoms linked together. Three out of four cycloalkanes chains are +cyclohexane and one is +cyclopentan . The steriod can change by the functional group depending upon the oxidation state. Hundreds of different steriods are present in the body of  +plants, +Animals  and +Funji. All the steriods present in body are made in the cells.

WHAT ARE STERIODS USED FOR?

Our body needs the right amount of steriods to work properly the exessive use of steriods, to increase the muscle mass, decreases the response of  body to  drugs and  causes the  body to stop producing its own steriods.

ABUSES OF STERIODS

We consider steriods as a abuse. Following are the dangers of the misuse of  steriods and aims to advise and support those whoe are addicted to these drugs

WHY PEOPLE MISUSE

Steriods enhance the performance and increse the muscle size and decrease the amount of fats present in the body and also produce many unwanted effects .

               

              Some bodybuilders , weightlifters use these steriods daily to improve therir physical performance and made them exceede their goals in short period of time.

      Peolple of all the ages are found in misusing these drugs like teenage boys , young men and the aged men.

HOW THEY TAKE?

There are different ways to take the steriods some use injections to injects steriods into their muscles , some use tablests and other use in the form of gel or cream to apply on their body. SOmetimes more than one drug is used at times to increse the effect on muscles but they are not aware of the danger of this activity. Some people use these drugs after regular intervals the term known as +Cycling  to increase their affect.

SIDE EFFECTS

Regularly taking steriods produce many physical and mental side effects

• baldness
• infertility
• reduce sperm count
• brest enhancement
• prostate cancer
• acne

Psychological effects

• aggressive behaviour
• moody
• delusions

ADDICTION

Steriods are addictive. One needs to get more and more drugs without thinking of the effects. One cannot suddenly stop the use of drugs at once. When doctors advise someone to get rid of these druges they ask to readiy reduce the dose of drugs. Getting rid of these steriods leave symptoms like

• depression
• anxiety
• insomia
• fatigue
• headaches
